The GentleKin Full-Body Lift Support Harness is a vet-recommended mobility support system designed for dogs who struggle to stand, walk, climb stairs, get into cars, or manage bathroom breaks on their own. Instead of pulling only from the chest or placing pressure on one painful area, it supports both the chest and hindquarters for steadier, more controlled movement.

Two reinforced lifting handles let you assist the front and rear together—helping you support heavier or weaker dogs without repeatedly bending down, carrying their full weight, or straining your back and shoulders. The padded, adjustable design provides a secure and comfortable fit, while the open underside allows most dogs to relieve themselves without removing the harness.
For everyday walks, the rear section can be detached so the front works as a regular harness, then reattached whenever extra support is needed. It is ideal for senior dogs, hind-leg weakness, balance difficulties, injuries, and veterinarian-approved post-surgery recovery.

Good quality

This doggy harness is well made and sturdy. It fits our pup snuggly and its nice and padded for his comfort. We have a maltipoo and we got a size medium. He's getting older and has a hard time climbing the stairs to get off and on the porch. This is nice because I can easily lift him without him being uncomfortable and then we can still enjoy a walk. Amazing harness!

We have a German Shepherd and had to get the XL. This product is fantastic, our dogs back hips struggle to walk and he’s been pooping laying down. Today we walked over 2 blocks for the first time in a month and pooped standing up. How to measure your dog's chest, neck and back length

How to measure your dog

For the best fit, take these 3 quick measurements before choosing a size.

  1. Chest

    Measure around the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs.

  2. Neck

    Measure around the base of the neck where the collar naturally sits.

  3. Back length

    Measure from the middle of the shoulders to the middle of the hips — not from the neck to the tail.

Tip: No measuring tape? Use a piece of string, then measure it with a ruler.

Weight is a helpful guide, but your dog’s measurements will give you the most accurate fit.

How do I measure my dog and choose the correct size?

Measure your dog while they are standing, following the measurement points shown in our sizing guide. Compare the measurements—not just your dog’s weight—to the size chart. If your dog falls between sizes, choose the larger option.

How do I measure back length?

Back length refers to the length of the harness, not the full length of your dog from neck to tail. Measure roughly from the middle of the front shoulder area to the middle of the hips, as shown in the sizing guide above. The harness straps are adjustable to help fine-tune the fit.

Can my dog relieve themselves while wearing the harness?

Yes. LiftAssist™ is designed to leave the necessary areas unobstructed, allowing your dog to use the bathroom without removing the harness. Always adjust the rear section correctly and check that the straps sit comfortably away from sensitive areas, especially on male dogs.

Will the harness rub, chafe, or put pressure on sensitive areas?

LiftAssist™ uses broad, padded support areas around the chest and pelvis to spread pressure more evenly instead of concentrating it on one small area. The adjustable straps help create a secure fit without excessive tightness. Check the fit and your dog’s skin regularly, particularly during the first few uses.

Can my dog wear the harness for extended periods?

During the first few uses, your dog may need time to get comfortable with the harness, so we recommend starting with shorter periods and gradually increasing the wear time. Once your dog is fully comfortable, the harness can be left on for longer periods. Check the fit regularly and remove it if you notice rubbing, irritation, or discomfort.

What happens if the size is wrong or the harness does not work for my dog?
